I have been observing for a while that Hausa people in the North see themselves as better than other tribes. eg 1. You rarely find a Hausa man learning/speaking another tribe apart from his own. 2. A Muslim Yoruba friend of mine told me when he went to serve in yobe state only hausas lead prayer in the mosque. 3. they think it's their land and threatening to send other tribes out of their region in of religious crises. but the truth is that the hausa region is the face of poverty and illitracy in Nigeria, can that be the reason some think this way?

Wallahi sometimes is the ladies arouse it and after it happens people will saying blah blah blah. Because it happens to me but Alhamdulillah my God Has saved me so please and please peoples stop jumping into conclusions without any justifiable fact.

It's still on the marriage issues let me share my experience, i came home from school some months ago i don't know why my dad's side of the family feel i don't have a suitor already so they've been matching me with possible suitors from the family (see me see wahala) and it's not as if we are all in good terms i just dey look them. I don't understand why it's a crime to be at home after graduation it's not as if I'm in their house i dey my papa house dey mind my business but people won't let me be.

The recent cases of insecurity and crime is not a surprise to me, its something that would naturally occur anywhere under the climate of Nigeria, and trust me wallahi worst is coming, time shall tell, the country will keep deteriorating until it becomes a living hell for everyone all because of 1 thing fa that people are not talking about, when it comes to discussion of the country's issue the first thing people mention is the government, i just laugh because i actually don't blame the government because the government officials that run the government are products of our society so the problem lies deep in our societies. the same people will never talk about how people give birth to people who end up becoming a catastrophe to the society and so on. what do you think is that 1 thing that has led Nigeria to this unpleasant state and is still driving it deeper?

One of my friends owes me money (100k) for over 6month yanzu which she promised to pay a month after,.she paid only half last week and now she is begging me that her mom is sick (which is true) and she needs 20k for hospital expenses should I borrow her or blacklist her forever in giving debt?

From the camp, I started wondering on some of the things I know about our Igbo brothers that is presuming they are superior when it comes to education and awareness. But a simple conversation in English the children can't reply. But the shocker came later on because I came to realize that more than 70% of the population in Umunna Bende camp are Igbos how this came to be I don't know but that's the fact. So when we were filling out our forms which is a part of the registration for the camp which as at then was done manually, I realized most of our Igbo graduate cannot even fill basic information form so an NYSC official have to be explaining to them in their local dialect so that they don't spoil the forms. My name was Corper Ikemefula when I was serving in Abia state but that was not my real name. I am a Hausa Fulani from the north posted to Abia state to serve my fatherland or should I say my motherland. It was my first time to be in the southeast region entirely but I have heard stories. It was 2009 February and am batch A corp member. I arrived Umunna bende orientation camp on the third day of camp after traveling for more than 24hours. I always thought the Igbos are educated, civilized and modern but to my greatest surprise that is not what is obtainable there. I realise they have many out of school children within the Bende community where the permanent orientation camp is located. Most of the children walk around the camp looking for manial jobs like washing of plates or clothes for a small amount of money or some scaps or crumbs of food. We are A lost generation without any regard for our culture, tradition or religion. How can we prefer other people's practices and abandon ours? We the Hausa Fulanis have a rich culture, sound religious and moral orientation but all these are nowhere tobe found in this contemporary generation where the practice of other people's religion, culture and doctrine is the order of the day. Example, our marriages today are just a copy of other people's culture starting from the pre-wedding picture down to the marriage itself where you see the bride in a wedding gown which of borrowed culture or tradition or should I say religion? Even engagements are now between the guy and the lady leaving their parent out of it entirely. At last, we need to come back to our senses because this is all that is wrong with us and let's hold our cultural values and traditions that are not in conflict with our religious belief with high value and promoting our own way of life is more important than helping others promote theirs. To be educated and enlightened doesn't mean to practice other people's tradition and culture. A word they say is enough for the wise.
