Islamically, practicing polygamy is allowed and there is an infamous saying that goes "men are polygamous in nature" but how true is that ? I've heard several married men say they did not know that they are married until when they added another wife .
Even though it's Sunnah I'd like to think that atleast 70% of men don't go into marriage with the intention of adding another wife in the long run . Several factors like incompatibility, influence of friends and family and personal interest pushes men into polygamy.
What's your opinion on this ? What Is the main factor that leads to polygamy?
I don't think there is any factors apart from those u mentioned
Most Men go into polygamy because of their emotional desire for women and intimacy.
they just want to have women around them to quench their desires
Gsky fa apart from wayanda ya ambato ba wasu
You're forgetting competition among the wealthy
first of all is Sunnah
secondly I liked halal meat 😁 so I don't have intentions of polygamy but if I get more money that can take care of 4 wifes, I'll definitely marry 2 and enjoy my life
Asslm bro, when you look around you you will noticed that most animal like roaster, goat, ram, horse are polygamous in nature. this is a nature men can’t cheat but however, na wani ya fi na wani… may Allah guide us to the righteous path Ameen
I was having this discussion with a Christian male friend of mine and he told me he once asked a Muslim guy why the Muslim men add wives and the answer he told me the guy gave made me ashamed of myself. he said the guy told him when one eats rice all the time he would like to go for other options of food hence d reason Muslim men add wives...
Alhamdulillah I was able to correct that misconception and also told him not to learn Islam frm anyone but the Holy Qur'an..
Allah knows best
