Statistics says Nigeria has more people living in poverty than any other country. Which about 80% are living in the northern part.
I don't think in Northern states when you excluded Kano there's a state that can survive for a period of 6 months without federal government allocation.
What do you think caused us this setback and how it would be overcome?
It can be overcome through youth education, youth empowerment n more job opportunities,most of us arewa youths don't dream big we always believe that when you have a qualification, a job that u earn monthly; you are ok whereas there is need for us to be self reliant which can be through different ways like vocational skills and the rest.
The causes are Corruption and high birth rate honestly, Our population is higher than the south which gave us more poverty. I don't think overcoming this is possible fa, at least not with this current government.
Exactly, people still don't understand that Nigerians collectively created these problems but people would blame it all on the government. The way people just marry wives and give birth to outrageous number of children is the biggest problem in the North which results to Al-majiri, Thugs, unemployment, more corruption. I don't think anything can be done, its too late fa.
