What does everyone mean by "love"?

Practically every single thread; by male or female posters; laments about love: lost love, unrequited love, heartbreak in love, one sided love. I feel it's all a delusion but I'm ready to learn. What exactly are you all talking about? What do you all mean by "love"?

In marriage, there is duty, there is responsibility. Crush, lust, desire to possess, these are not love. Someone even claimed that he loves a woman who gives him no peace. How can you still call it love? Please brothers and sisters, be reasonable and clear headed in choosing marriage partners.

I don't think there's any word that has been misused so much. The problem is that people seem to take it too seriously; with some feeling depressed, suffering 'heartbreaks' (the heart is made up of muscle fibres, it cannot break); and making all kinds of vows and promises in the name of this 'love'. Just scrolling casually through this forum opens up a whole Nollywood scénario.
