How do i start a cold room business? 0

salam alaikum,please I want to start a cold room business but i have no idea how to go about it,if there is anyone that knows about the business and how to get contact of suppliers and agent numbers

firstly, do you have steady light in your area? is the weather hot? are you using meter? All you need is a cooler(fridge) or a cold room. As of 2022 an average cooler cost about 250k. with steady light and a good cooler in 24hrs you can get 150 pieces of ice block (not pure water own) Your can use the cooler for other purpose not only for ice block

In my area we have more than 70 of this cooler (fridge). We use to send ice block to different states. Kano, Yobe, Maiduguri e.t.c

you know its not the normal fridge that we use for our day to day use that is used for the ice block business. its either you get a locally made fridge (cooler) or you can convert the normal fridge by adding AC Compressor to it.

the most expensive thing in the business is the fridge, after that is electricity but you all got that soughted out. So i don't think there's anything more that will hinder your business. as long as the weather is harsh you'll get customers more than you can handle

it depends on the nature, size of your fridge and quality of light you have. I have an average one with 2hp compressor yana mayar da ruwa kankana in 16-20hr, irin ice block dinda zaiyi 20hr bai gama melting ba. and our electricity is very good, we can have light for 70hr and more ba'a dauke ba and the current is very powerful too.

it's a good idea gaskiya but those fridges irin namu are very well power consuming so you'll spend much on solar

hmmm... well my hiscence deep freezer na gida also does similar. lokacin azumi, if we load pure water in the evening haka bayan an sha ruwa, by the following day we'll get iceblock. but by night it'll be properly iced. my strategy was thinking of getting 2 deep freezers, and use them in alternating days meaning each one is closed for 24hours straight. for me, I already have the electricity sabida most days, by 11 na safe my battery is full and it just starts taking little from the sun to run the house. I'm thinking of ways I can make use of the almost 20kw I can generate additionally during the day

Gaskiya kam... But I think modern deep freezers can get almost similar result. my concern is where to offload thr iceblock

I'm in Kano for instance and if I can find someone who would take off 20-40bags of iceblock irin na pure water daily... then I'm game.
