Basic Education In Arewa 2

Good morning brothers and sisters up North, my question is, HOW DO WE IMPROVE THE EDUCATIONAL STANDARD OF OUR PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN AREWA? I have observed that most primary school pupils and secondary school students in arewa can't compare with their counterparts down south not because they are not intelligent but what could be the reason making them lag behind? Later on, most of us find it hard to cope in tertiary institutions because of our poor educational background, you will a very intelligent person who knows a lot regarding a course but he won't make a good grade because he rarely understands English and at the end it affects our overall result. How do we tackle this issue? What are you suggestions? How do we improve the situation my fellow yan Arewa?

Most primary schools in arewa are being taught with hausa..the tertiary institution where i did my SIWES,atyms dey do explain to students in hausa, wen i asked why dey claimed dat was d only way some of d students will understand.and dat is very bad,its not encouraging at all.i feel no matter how dumb a student is,deres a way u will teach dat person and he/she will understand

Actually i want you to think deeply about all these issues we are facing in Arewa - illiteracy - Poverty - Almjiri - Lack of basic education. - Mental retardation None of these issues can be solved by focusing on the issue itself. we have to go to the root cause that resulted to these. building schools and giving free education with qualified teachers will not solve this problem because more of the people would be produced till you are out of resources. what we should do is to find out how to cut down the birthrate so that we wouldn't even have the scenario to start with. Overpopulation in Nigeria is more at work in Arewa because we give birth to so many babes that our public facilities cannot cater for thats why we have all the problems i mentioned above, the economy cannot absorb the population leaving majority on the streets with no jobs & education. Lets find a way to sterilize people and cut down birthrates you will see how everything will fall into place on its own.

Dan uwa to be frank we lag because of the poor foundation we have here in north. I remembered! We I did my primary sch in Kano up to primary 5 I can't speak English talk more of comprehending what may come my way as a students. Even now some words used to skip my head or I will have to think b4 knowing the meaning so I think is for our government and parents to see what can be put in place to eradicate this mess. Allah taimaka
