Almajiri Emancipation 2

How do we emancipate almajiris in arewa and give them a life they deserve, a better life. It pains me a lot seeing these children out of school, no proper care, no food, no good clothes etc. These children are been exploited and because they have no choice, they will do anything to survive. What's the solution, parents need to be enlightened, the present almajiri system is not like the one of those years past, the world has changed. What do we do about this issue? It's a time bomb, waiting to explode.

This is an interesting topic that needs discussion. lets first find out the causes of Al-majiris and why we only have them in northern Nigeria. It happens when people decide to give birth like pigs, you will see a man with 4 wives and 20 kids and all of them are roaming on the streets as Al-majiris. this type of mentality is abundantly found in Hausa men especially the local ones, marrying multiple wives and giving birth like animals all in the name of religion and some stupid cultural beliefs. We will never solve Almajiri problem by catering and providing for them. because more will always come. we have to go to the root cause and solve it. lets find a way to put sense into those people so that they stop breeding like animals for Goodness sake. and you will gradually see Almajiris dissapear. this is my opinion

Proper orientation program should be carried out across all nooks and crannies of Arewa to enlighten the populace on the ill effect of Almajiri. Your opinion is noted.

Yes this issue keep bothering me as well.Why is it that, it is only in northern part of d country where this cruel practices prevails? The main cause of these problem is their parents, people keep on giving birth without thinking of the well being of their progenies.if these problem is not tackles, the issue of almijiri will still remains. the society also contribute a lot in the sense that,the religious bodies, leaders,the elites, and other citizens should try as much as possible to see that almijiri is terminated completely and the children should be enroll back to schools. if all hands are put on deck , I think the problem of almijiri will be subdue

Exactly, this Almajiri issue and people giving birth recklessly is the root cause of 90% problems we have in Nigeria. Insecurities, unemployment, poverty, illiteracy are all products of ridiculous birthrates when the economy cannot absorb the population.

Thank you, we have similar thoughts about this issue. A duniya bahaushe beyi ba shi kawai ya auri Mata yayi ta haihuwa without thinking about how to cater for the family. shiyasa North tafi poverty da illiteracy a Nigeria.

I think if the government will place a rule or give limit to the number of kids one should have then this almajiri problem will reduce and those parents that give birth anyhow then fold their hands and wait for the society to help them should be punished. I mean for goodness sake how can you live in one room or highest two rooms with different wives plus a truckload of kids left without being cared for and expect others to take care of your mess. The problem of the north is the northerners and the only thing we know how to do is to blame others for our misfortune which is quite unfortunate.
