Few days ago someone made mention that he has never been in a relationship and some people found it odd despite his age. The incident got me thinking;
Is it a must for one to be in a relationship or must have been in a relationship or more at a certain age?
Is relationship that cheap that anyone at anytime can decide they want to be in a relationship regardless of whether they have a goal or not? Or if the goals are justified?
Has people's hearts become something anyone can just toy with at anytime and move on to the next?
I'm not ruling out the fact that there could be reasons like being unwell physically, mentally, spiritually etc. But that isn't always the case. Even an unwell person can still be in a relationship the way some relationships are these days.
It is like some people don't think it through before jumping into relationships. They just act as their hearts dictate and then end up hurting themselves and/or others.
A lot of people are in relationships just for the fun of it. That is why there are so many broken people in this generation. Lots of hearts have been broken more than they should. No regards for love.
I believe relationship or courtship or dating or whatever name it has, should be sacred and should only be with the purest of intentions.
I know sometimes there's that feeling that if you don't make the move now you're going to lose the person for good. So you just jump in. But forget not that there's that special person written for you (unless you're destined to go back as you came 😅😅. Which could be unfortunate). Find comfort in that. If they are yours, both of you will definitely find your ways to each other at the end of the day.
You can also confess your feelings to someone and still not be in a relationship with them. Telling someone how you feel about them and being in a relationship can be two different things.
