I have been observing for a while that Hausa people in the North see themselves as better than other tribes. eg
1. You rarely find a Hausa man learning/speaking another tribe apart from his own.
2. A Muslim Yoruba friend of mine told me when he went to serve in yobe state only hausas lead prayer in the mosque.
3. they think it's their land and threatening to send other tribes out of their region in of religious crises.
but the truth is that the hausa region is the face of poverty and illitracy in Nigeria, can that be the reason some think this way? |
